On Whit Monday (20.05.) and Whit Tuesday (21.05.) we take a little break. Our restaurant and hotel will be closed on these days. Thank you for your understanding!
Hot food Mon.-Sat. until 8 p.m., snacks until 9 p.m.
Due to the tight staffing situation, which also affects our business, we can currently only offer hot food until 8pm. We are happy to take orders for the warm cuisine until 8 pm, so that you can also dine with us in a relaxed manner if you make a reservation later. We are also happy to serve desserts and snacks after 8pm. We ask for your understanding for the adjusted opening hours. As soon as the staff situation eases, we will extend the hours again accordingly.
NEW: since 01.01.23 we also offer reusable packaging for take-away meals in accordance with the legal basis. We have opted for the RECUP or REBOWL system, which works on a deposit basis. You deposit 5€ per container, which you can redeem when you hand it in at any RECUP/REBOWL distribution point.

Our philosophy
What is important to us
We get our pork from the Bäuerliche Erzeugergemeinschaft Schwäbisch Hall. There, the animals are kept in light and airy stables in a species-appropriate manner on straw and are fed almost exclusively with feed from the region. The beef comes from heifers from small-scale farms in Austria, mainly from the Innviertel region. There, unlike in industrial fattening, the animals are given enough time to grow slowly and are kept on open pastures as much as possible. You can taste the high quality of this meat!
Of course, we also remain true to our product standards. We get our sausages and ham from the Stechl butcher's shop in Rott and the game is supplied by local hunter Schorsch Binsteiner. The trout come from spring water ponds and we get whitefish, bream etc. from the Chiemsee fisherman Lackerschmid. We keep the carp in our own ponds very close to the Fischerstüberl. We get most of our milk and cheese products from the Wasserburg dairies.
We are convinced that this claim is not only good for our nature, but is also reflected in the quality of the products.
Our restaurant
Hotel
The lovingly furnished rooms make a stay in our hotel a relaxing break from everyday life. The hotel is classified with three DEHOGA stars and is ideally suited for business guests, families, hiking guests, cyclists and holidaymakers.
Invite your relatives to stay. Sleep in cosy rooms after an extended meal with friends and a good bottle of wine. So you are fit the next morning for an excursion into the beautiful surroundings of the Alpine foothills.
Or take a short holiday with varied excursions: Combine impressions from culture and nature and experience a different little wonder every day.
Our story
The history of the Fischerstüberl began in 1955, when Gustl Fischer and his wife Maria opened a small restaurant and a grocery shop at this location.
From the very beginning, regional fish was on the menu - initially mainly the catch of the day made by the fisherman Gust in the Attel, right next to the restaurant, and which Maria Fischer prepared with great skill in the kitchen.
In 1988, the son Robert Fischer took over the inn together with his wife Petra. With great passion and creativity, they took the Fischerstüberl further. New culinary influences were introduced and made the restaurant a widely known address for good food and a hospitable atmosphere.
Today, the Fischerstüberl - or, as the local people say, the "Fischergust" - is still in family hands. Since the beginning of 2018, Robert's sister Martina Fischer and her family have been running the restaurant and hotel. In keeping with the tradition of the house, fresh fish from the region remains at the top of the menu. Conscious of its long history and with new impulses, the Fischerstüberl is to remain a place of encounter and enjoyment in the future.
